<p>Over the course of his five-decade career, he worked on roughly 288 films in the Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, and Hindi industries. He also starred in 250 of those films as the main character. He won the Best Actor prize at the 1960 Cairo, Egypt-based International Film Festival’s Afro-Asian Film Festival because to his outstanding performance. The top accolade for Indian cinema, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award, was also given to him. <p>Sivaji Ganesan died away July 21, 2001. He was reportedly hospitalized to the Apollo Hospital in Chennai on July 1, 2001, due to respiratory issues. He also endured years of suffering from a cardiac condition. Thousands of people saw the official burial for him, including lawmakers and well-known figures from the South cinema industry.</p>
