Day 3 of India’s match vs South Africa: “Need To Wake Up,” says Sunil Gavaskar, denouncing ‘Listless’ India

Day 3 of the first Test match between South Africa and India began with a “listless” start, to which legendary Indian batsman Sunil Gavaskar criticized Rohit Sharma and co. on Thursday. The way India started the opening session of play on Day 3 did not sit well with Gavaskar, who felt that they ought to have been ‘full of enthusiasm’ from the off.

“India must awaken. Up until now, they have been apathetic. At the beginning of the day, they ought to be bursting with enthusiasm, but instead, they have been disorganized. Listless stuff. Maybe people may be a little depressed at tea. Not in the morning, “Gavaskar said in the remark.

After making fielding mistakes, Ravichandran Ashwin and Mohammed Siraj were forced to give up runs, and KL Rahul was unable to maintain an advantage from Jansen.
